
North Richland Hills police have detained three men in connection with a fatal shooting early Sunday morning that resulted in the death of a 21-year-old woman from Dallas and left another individual injured.
According to reports, a fight broke out just after midnight in the 8600 block of Airport Freeway, during which gunfire was exchanged.
Two off-duty North Richland Hills police officers in the vicinity responded to the scene. One returned fire, while the other applied a tourniquet to assist the male victim before emergency services arrived.
The second victim, a 23-year-old man from Dallas, was transported to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
All three suspects, 18 years old, are in custody. Authorities also recovered what they believe to be the murder weapon.
The case remains under investigation, and the identities of the victims have not been released.
