A woman in a wheelchair was killed overnight in Pleasant Grove in what authorities believe to be a hit-and-run.
At approximately 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dallas police responded to a call at the 5600 block of South Buckner Boulevard. When officers arrived, they discovered the woman lying on the service road with a damaged wheelchair nearby. Emergency personnel arrived and declared her dead at the scene.
While the exact details of the crash are still unclear, officials are actively working to identify the driver involved.
The victim’s identity has not yet been publicly released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation is still underway.
