On Sunday, Washington Commanders rookie Brian Robinson Jr. was shot in an attempted carjacking or robbery in Washington D.C., authorities say.

Robinson underwent surgery and went to Instagram to share that it went well.

“Thanks for the prayers! God is great!” he wrote.

Robinson had been transported to a medical facility after suffering two gunshot injuries to his lower extremities. The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of H Street NE.

Robinson went into the District of Columbia to get food. He is said to have been able to get a gun from one of the assailants but was then shot by the other one. Two suspects left the scene, and officers found a firearm close by.

“He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out, and he loves them all & will be back soon doing what he does best,” said the Commanders head coach, Ron Rivera.

Robinson Jr. was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama. He wasn’t a part of the team’s last preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday evening.

An investigation is continuing.

  2. You actually make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I to find this matter to
be really something which I believe I’d by no means understand.
It kind of feels too complicated and extremely extensive for me.
I’m having a look ahead on your subsequent post, I’ll try to get the
    cling of it!
