Nurse Wins $200,000 Lottery Reward On Retirement Day

A nurse from Kentucky, who has decided to stay unidentified, completed her 36-year career while working during the pandemic.

On her last day at work, she won $200,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The former nurse bought the winning ticket for $10 at a Double Kwik convenience store in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

After she played the Tree-Mendous Winnings, she saw that she won because she had the same No.20s in the last row.

She was even more shocked when she scratched off how much she had won, which was $200,000. That was the highest amount that could be paid out.

“It’s unbelievable. I had just retired that day. I saw this as a sign it was meant to be for me to quit working,” the woman said.

After taxes, the woman chose to receive a lump sum of $142,000. There hasn’t been a statement on what she will use the money for.

The convenience store where the ticket was purchased will get a $2,000 bonus.
