One Student Killed During School Shooting

A student was shot and killed at Mount Tabor High School in Salem, NC Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a reported shooting at the school around 12pm.
Upon arrival officers located William Chavis Raynard Miller Jr suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
The school was placed on lockdown immediately.
After hours of searching a fellow student was arrested for the shooting and taken into custody.
No one else was injured.
Authorities have not released details regarding the shooting but say they are investigating.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s released a statement saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family today and in the difficult days to come.
I don’t know the grief of losing a child. I don’t even know how to fathom”
