Over 2 Dozen Families Without Homes After Overnight Fire In A Northeast Dallas Apartment Complex

Dallas firefighters were called out to an intense 3 alarm fire in a Northeast Dallas apartment building.
The incident happened a little before 1am at the Oak Meadows apartment on the 11000 block of Woodmeadow Parkway.
When they arrived they found heavy fire coming from the roof of a 3 story apartment building.

Emergency crews immediately began working to extinguish the fire and were able to stop the fire before it spread.
A total of 24 units were damaged.
It is unclear how the fire began but believe it began with a unit on the 3rd floor.
One person was transported to a hospital for non life threatening injuries and a firefighter was treated on the scene.
