Paris Police Arrest Man That Held Teens At Gunpoint

A man is being charged with two felony charges after pulling a gun on a teen in Paris, Tx on June 27.
According to reports Robert Jameson was the bystander who drove into the Blankinship Oil parking lot during an altercation between a black teen and a white man, he then pulled his handgun out when he allegedly saw the teen had a pocket knife.
In a news release Police Chief Randy Tuttle said, “Mr. Jameson then returned and ordered the Black male to drop the knife and ordered the juvenile and another Black male onto the ground at gunpoint. Mr. Jameson then got into his vehicle and left the scene prior to police arriving.”
The teen was later identified as Devin Gill,16 and his 17 year old brother Za’ddarius Baldwin who were both held at gunpoint by Jameson after Gill knocked out another man for punching him.
The man who was knocked out name has not been released at this time.
The incident happened on North Main St and the city has since protested and sought the arrest of the man that punched Gill as well as the man who pulled the gun on him and his brother.
Jameson has since been arrested and charged with unlicensed possession of a firearm by a felon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released from the Lamar County Jail Wednesday on bonds totaling $20,000.
