A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup early Tuesday morning while walking along the freeway.
The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. when officers received multiple calls regarding a man walking along the southbound side of N. Stemmons Frwy, near Northwest Hwy.
Dallas police and Sheriff’s responded to the call to learn that the man had been struck by a truck.
The driver of the truck did stop to render aid and is cooperating with authorities. No charges are expected to be filed.
All southbound lanes were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
