On December 4 a woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in Dallas.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 11:44pm on the 2500 block of Oaklawn Ave
Apparently, a 40 year old person was driving a blue 2012 Volkswagen towards Maple Ave.
An unidentified woman was attempting to cross the intersection in front of the vehicle.
She did not cross at a crosswalk and did so when it was unsafe.
She was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The driver did stop to render aid and is cooperating with police. No charges have been filed at this time.
