A Los Angeles philanthropist pleaded not guilty in a 2020 hit-and-run which resulted in the death of two young brothers.

Rebecca Grossman is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of vehicular manslaughter, and hit-and-run driving resulting in death after crashing into a family while racing her Mercedes. The crash resulted in the deaths of 8-year-old Jacob Iskander and 11-year-old Mark Iskander.

According to reports, in September 2020 the 58-year-old was racing against ex-MLB pitcher Scott Erickson when she struck a family that was crossing the street.

After running them over, Grossman continued to drag the 11-year-old boy 100 feet on the hood of her car before hitting the brakes and letting him fall off. She then ran him over one final time as she fled the scene.

Mark was pronounced dead at the scene while Jacob was transported to the hospital where he later died.

On August 3, Grossman’s attorneys filed a motion seeking to dismiss the two murder charges.

Erickson, who was racing Grossman at the time of the crash, was charged with reckless driving. He’s currently not facing any of the murder charges.
