Police Car Hit By Drunk Driver

On October 26, 2019 at 2:15 a.m., officers were sitting in a marked squad car in the 5800 block of East Grand Avenue with their emergency lights on; waiting on a tow truck to tow another vehicle away.
While sitting in the squad car the arrested person, Melissa Mejia, a 24-year-old, Latin female struck the squad car from behind with her vehicle causing rear damages to the marked squad car.
The driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and outstanding warrants. There were no injuries.
