Law enforcement officials, in Colombia, seized almost 20,000 coconuts that had “liquid cocaine” injected inside of them, on January 27.
The container carrying the items had 500 canvas bags. It was headed to Italy after leaving the port city of Cartagena.
Dissolved cocaine combinations have been noted in other seizures as traffickers try to hide around the traditional ways drugs are found.
The fruits, which had its original contents taken out first, have been sent to a lab. They will figure out how much cocaine was actually inside of each coconut.
No apprehensions have occurred, but police are investigating to determine who is responsible for the shipment.
