Lt. Wilfredo Roman, a Chicago police officer, is suspected of pushing a flashlight up the buttocks of a clothed teenager.

The teenager was apprehended for an alleged carjacking and was handcuffed at the time.

The 21 year police veteran turned himself in on Wednesday.

It has been said that the officer told the 17 year-old boy, “That’s what you get for carjacking.”

When the teen told the officer his handcuffs were uncomfortable, the officer assaulted him and instructed him to shut up. The teen began to scream when the flashlight went into his backside.

Roman has been charged with aggravated battery and official misconduct which are both felonies.

The 17 year-old suspect was described as an armed carjacker, and his charges are pending through the juvenile court. Roman’s lawyer said the teen never asked for medical help.

Prosecutors have asked that Roman, who makes $138,000 per year, be made to turn in his weapons.
