Postal Worker Fatally Shot While Delivering Mail

On Friday night, a postal worker was fatally shot while working in Wisconsin, authorities say.

The incident occurred in the 5000 block of N. 65th Street, at 5:59 p.m., in Milwaukee.

The mail carrier was identified as 44 year old Aundre Cross and he had been employed with the US Postal Service for 18 years.

“The Milwaukee Police Department sends our sincere condolences to the victim’s family and to the USPS for the loss of their member,” the department said.

No information has been given in regards to a suspect(s) or motive.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is investigating the matter.
