President Biden signed two executive orders Friday to increase SNAP benefits and to extend eviction moratorium. He also streamlined the process of sending out the stimulus checks.
He wants to increase food benefits to those families in need to ensure everyone eats.
In the order he is asking for a 15% increase in emergency SNAP benefits for families with children that normally receive free breakfast and lunch at school.
He also extended the eviction moratorium through March and put a halt on student loans through September.
President Biden also asked the U.S. Treasury Department to update its stimulus check issuing process, due to so many people not receiving theirs or receiving smaller or delayed payments.
