Prison Inmate Dies Because Of COVID-19 A Month After Giving Birth

Fort Worth inmate, Andrea Circle Bear, died after a month of giving birth to her child, she had arrived from the city jail in winter, South Dakota to Carswell, she had been in there since March 20. Her sentence had been made to twenty-six month for drug involvement.
She was immediately put on quarantine status when she arrived, stated by the prisons bureau.
She had already had pre-existing medical conditions that were on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that were at risk factor for developing even more crucial COVID-19 symptoms.
On March 31, she was immediately taken to the hospital after having a fever, dry cough and other Symptoms. After being evaluated by the Carswell Health Staff she was sent to the hospital for further treatment and placed on a ventilator.
The child had been born on April 1, three days before it was confirmed that she had contracted the Coronavirus.
