A cheerleader in Prosper was severely wounded in a tumbling incident.
The family continues to hope for a bright future for 16 year-old Makayla Noble although things are not looking too good.
On Monday evening, Makayla injured her spinal cord. “Makayla is a word-class athlete. She’s trained by the best SCA. This was a freak accident in somebody’s backyard. This was not cheer practice. This wasn’t on a mat with a coach,” stated a family friend.
At Medical City Plano, she has already had one surgery. Despite that, her family stated that the possibility of her walking again is very little.
As of now, she will continue to stay in the hospital until next week. Then, she will go to rehab for close to 12 to 18 months.
Makayla and her family have already gotten $50,000 to help with expenses in less than 24 hours.
She had been training since she was much younger, doing so many days a week.
