On Saturday, authorities released a photo of a 2004 to 2008 white Acura TL car with 4-doors, no sunroof, and no front license plate. They think the vehicle was involved in the incident.
Nishita was an officer with the San Jose Police Department and the Colma, California police department.
A $27,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
Nishita is survived by his wife, two children, and three grandchildren.
