A three year old boy was shot and killed during an overnight drive by in North Carolina Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a shooting on the 2400 block of Richard Rozzelle Drive around 11:40pm Tuesday night.
Upon arrival they found the victim, Asiah Figueroa,3 unresponsive from a gunshot wound.
His four year old sister was also wounded but is expected to survive.
During the investigation officers learned the house was shot over 150 times.
They believe a group of high school students are responsible for the shooting.
CMPD Captain Joel McNelly said in a statement he believes Tuesday night’s drive by shooting is connected to another recent shooting that left a 16-year old dead as well as several other violent crimes and shootings into homes.
