Dallas police were attempting to pull a stolen vehicle over Monday morning when the car sped off and crashed into Blackjack pizza.
The incident started around 10:50 a.m. when authorities were behind a vehicle that was reported stolen on the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
When the driver noticed police behind them they immediately drove off and crashed into the pizzeria located at 2536 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Authorities say a customer inside the restaurant along with the driver of the stolen vehicle were both injured and transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
This investigation remains ongoing.
Frank E. Gee Jr. and Terry Jones opened the restaurant in 1990. Gee Jr. passed away September 1. 2022.
