Suspect Arrested And Charged With Murder In The Fatal Shooting Death Of An Arlington Man

Arlington police arrested a man Saturday in connection to a fatal shooting that happened at an apartment complex.

The shooting took place around 4 p.m., on August 23, in the 2100 block of Cypress Club Drive when officers responded to a shooting call.

Upon arrival they found the victim, 40 year old Donald Hunt, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

After speaking with the victims former girlfriend and witnesses officers learned that the victims ex girlfriend’s brother, 32 year old Darius Brown, was responsible for the shooting.

According to reports Hunt and his ex girlfriend were having an argument that turned physical. The woman’s brother was contacted and came to the apartment.

When Brown arrived he began arguing with Hunt. Neighbors then heard 4 shots and saw Brown flee the scene in a white Nissan.

On September 3, the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested Brown and charged him with murder.
