One man is dead and a teen is in custody after a shooting in Ridgecrest apartments Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 400 block of S. Walton Walker.
Upon arrival officers located the victim Daniel Victor Barrera Jr.,21 suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation authorities learned that Bryan Bernal Rivas,17 was responsible for the shooting and he was arrested and charged with murder.
His bond is set at $500,000.
