Suspect Who Shot Deputy Arrested In Arlington

Arlington SWAT officers and the US Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force apprehended Joshua Green at a hotel in Arlington.

The Arlington Police Department received information that the 31 year-old was in the Arlington community. He is accused of shooting a sheriff’s deputy in Clay County.

Authorities said he attempted to get away but was arrested swiftly.

A male driving a white Cadillac with missing license plates shot an officer in the chest on Monday evening. Afterwards, a Blue Alert was issued.

Fortunately, the officer was wearing protective gear.

On Tuesday morning, the suspect’s vehicle, which contained many bullet holes, was discovered in downtown Wichita Falls. The officer had fired back at the suspect during the occurrence.

On Wednesday, Green was charged with aggravated assault of a peace officer. He will be taken to the Clay County Jail.

Right now, he remains in the Arlington jail on a $75,000 bond.
