A Tarrant County sheriff was arrested and is being accused of murdering his wife.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of Robinwood Ln on August 26 to find Leslie Lynn Hartman,46 deceased inside the residence.
Jay Allen Rotter,36 called police and said his girlfriend at the time had shot herself.
Detectives investigated and gathered evidence against Rotter who was arrested Monday September 14 after a judge signed an affidavit for his arrest.
Rotter has been with the Tarrant County Sheriffs Department since 2005 and worked in the narcotics division.
He is being charged with murder and tampering with evidence. His bond is set at $1.15 million.
