Dallas police are investigating a possible road rage shooting that took place in September after a teen died over the weekend from his injuries.

The shooting took place shortly after 1 a.m. on September 24 in the 9600 block of C.F. Hawn Freeway between Buckner Blvd and St. Augustine Dr.

During the investigation officers learned that a teen male was riding in the front passenger seat of a pickup truck traveling eastbound.

After further investigating authorities learned that an unknown suspect riding in a white Chevy Silverado opened fire at the pickup as they were passing them in a lane.
