A man wanted on a second degree murder charge was arrested following a shoplifting incident at a Mt. Juliet Walmart.
According to reports Joseph Arendall,28 is accused of shoplifting out of a Walmart and then running from police Tuesday afternoon.
He was later captured by police and taken into custody.
He was also charged with the murder of Macy Rogers,22, who was found inside a vehicle on Mount Vernon Rd.
Rogers was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died from a fentanyl and meth overdose.
Arendall remains in Wilson County jail on shoplifting, evading arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal impersonation charges.
Police said he also faces charges of second degree murder and possession of meth in Sumner County, a felony theft charge from Robertson County and a shoplifting charge out of Nashville.
The murder charge stems from an overdose case that happened back in January 2021.
