Tesla Headquarters Will Move To Texas

2.6kviews

Elon Musk, Tesla’s Chief Executive, has announced that the company is planning on shifting their headquarters from California to Austin. In Austin, they will construct a huge car and battery manufacturing complex, as well.

While Silicon Valley is also thriving with new constructions and ideas, Texas is known to have cheaper labor and less regulations. California has “relatively high taxes and living costs.” He complained that his factory in Fremont, CA, was “jammed.” It is said that even workers have a hard time  locating affordable housing. The company will still raise their  output from its factories in California by 50%.

Billionaire Musk has even relocated to Texas to assist in the creation of the new plant. His SpaceX rocket business has a launch location in the southern tip of Texas.

Oracle, HP, and Toyota are companies that have left California and come to Texas, too.
