Texas Beto Unit Palestine Infected By COVID-19

Fifteen employees and contract staff at the Texas Department of Criminal justice’s Beto Unit in Palestine have tested positive for the Coronavirus, as of Thursday afternoon. As well as one hundred and twenty-eight inmates.
A total of seven inmates have died as direct results of complications from the Coronavirus and at 5p.m. Thursday, TDCJ made a report of having over six hundred and ninety inmates infected with the Coronavirus.
The Beto Unit has also confirmed that they currently have over two thousand five hundred and fifty inmates on medical restriction confirmed as of Wednesday.
Although they say that they have thirty-six inmates who have tested negative for the Coronavirus and fourteen pending tests on the way.
