Over the weekend, a man died in a skydiving accident at a facility near Whitewright, Texas.
On Sunday, around 1p.m., Bonham EMS and Trenton Fire arrived to the scene at Skydive Spaceland Dallas. There, it was reported that someone had suffered several broken bones.
The Trenton Fire chief stated that the skydiver, in his thirties, had been transported to a medical facility in McKinney, in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Officials say that just prior to landing, the skydiver made a harsh turn, twisting his parachute.
The facility has experienced other incidences, as well. Last year, a man’s parachute didn’t operate effectively, and he experienced a crash landing; however, he survived.
