On Friday, a woman was apprehended for causing a horrific multi-car accident in the Windsor Hills community, near downtown Los Angeles. Six people died, including an infant and a woman who was pregnant.
A nurse from Texas, Nicole L. Linton, 37, will be taken into custody when she is released from a medical facility. There, she is receiving medical treatment for minor wounds. She has been charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
Reports indicate that Linton was intoxicated and arguing with her boyfriend at the time of the crash.
California Highway Patrol states that Linton drove her Mercedes-Benz sedan through a red light and struck multiple vehicles at nearly 100 mph. The accident was seen on a recording as two people were ejected, and two cars caught on fire.
Authorities identified 23-year-old Asherey Ryan as the pregnant woman who lost her life, along with her unborn child, boyfriend, and baby boy.Two other women were killed, and eight people were injured, as well.
