Texas Police Officer Killed In Shootout


Two people were killed, including a police officer, as a shootout occurred as a search warrant was attempted.

Reports indicate that a suspect had shot his wife, grazing her neck, at a residence in Cameron, Texas. The woman then traveled to a business to call for assistance.

The warrant was about to be carried out after officers had gone to the business and discovered that the suspect’s wife had been wounded by gunfire.

When officers had arrived at the home on East 7th, the suspect began to shoot at them, and officers returned fire.

Police Sgt. Joshua Clouse died in the incident. Additionally, the suspect was killed.
