After robbing a deceased man of his necklace, a couple of teenagers from Texas were arrested.
On July 26, Bethany Martin, 17, and an unidentified 16 year-old, discovered the body of a 25 year-old suspended from a railing near San Antonio.
When authorities arrived on location, they found the man next to a drainage ditch with a discolored body.
However, before police arrived, the teens found the body first. After walking over to the man, the teens took a necklace and charm off the dead man’s neck. A video on social media went viral that captured the ordeal. Authorities received the recording anonymously.
The 16 year-old told police that she recorded the incident on Snapchat and put the charm on her necklace because it “matched her fashion style.”
The necklace was not discovered, but the 16 year-old did give the charm back.
Both teens were apprehended and charged with theft of a human corpse or grave.
