Three Men Missing After Going Into River To Save Young Boy

2.5kviews

On Sunday, three men went into a river, in Sacramento County, California, and tried to rescue an 8-year-old boy. Those men are now missing and presumed to be dead.

The men have been identified as Edwin Rivas, Edwin Perez, and Danilo Solorzano.

The incident occurred at a swimming and boating establishment called Three Mile Slough as the group was fishing.

Authorities say that the child was rescued by two other men and was uninjured after going underwater. Recovery efforts continue for the child’s three family members as emergency crews had already searched for hours.

Strong currents near the Delta and San Joaquin rivers were to blame for the bad conditions in the area.
