Dallas police are investigating a shooting in an apartment complex that left two people dead early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call at the Holiday Hills II Apartments located on the 2400 block of Bahama Drive.
Upon arrival officers found three people in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.
One male was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
A female victim, Nancy Pahola Gomez,22 was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews.
The shooter Rolando Benitez,28 was also shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
During the course of the investigation officers learned that Rolando Benitez was responsible for the shooting.
At the time of the shooting the male victim and Benitez exchanged fire amongst one another.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
