Two Georgia seniors from Carrolton High school have been expelled and won’t be allowed to graduate after posting a racist video on Tik Tok.
The video was posted Thursday and went viral after two students were seen in the video using the n-word and making disturbing remarks about black people.
The teenagers filmed the video in a bathroom — as they were seen mimicking a cooking show as they poured cups of water into the sink saying “First we have black, Next we have ‘don’t have a dad” along with several other racial slurs.
The school superintendent Mark Albertus said in a statement “Tonight it has been brought to my attention that an inappropriate video was created on the TikTok social media platform,” Albertus said late Thursday. “Please know that this video has been addressed immediately and any student involved in the production of this video will face serious consequences … This type of behavior will not be tolerated.”
Both teens were later identified by other classmates and as of Friday have been expelled from the school.
Albertus also said he is very disturbed by the racist video made by his students and said “This incident does not reflect the culture of Carrollton City Schools,” the superintendent said. “We are very proud of our diversity and so is our entire community. We don’t need to lose sight of this important attribute because of the actions of a few.”
