Two Men Arrested After Robbing, Murdering And Then Burning Man’s Body In Desert

Michael and Daniel Levya, have been apprehended and charged with the capital murder of Manuel Sanchez Jr. The victim was robbed and set on fire in a desert location in El Paso, Texas.

On September 4, Sanchez didn’t make it home which prompted his family to report him missing.

Five days following that, a burnt car was discovered, close to Fort Bliss, and human remains were found inside.

The FBI in El Paso later identified the owner of the car. They arrested Levya on September 14 for an outstanding warrant on aggravated robbery charges.

After the remains were found to be Sanchez’s, Levya was also charged with capital murder and fabricating physical evidence.

Michael Levya was charged with capital murder, robbery and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. His bond was set at $1,000,000.

Daniel Leyva was charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. His bond was set at $500,000.
