On Saturday, authorities confirmed that two missing boys, who were friends, were both located in two various rivers in New York City. They were both deceased.

11-year-old Alfa Barrie, from the Bronx, was found in the Hudson River on Saturday. Just days prior to that, 13-year-old Garrett Warren, from Manhattan, was found in the Harlem River.

As authorities think that Warren drowned accidentally, Barrie’s death is being reviewed by the medical examiner’s office.

On May 12, the two boys had been observed in Harlem at Ana’s Fish Market. Authorities believe that the boys were with each other when they went missing.

An investigation is continuing.
