Two brothers were found dead Sunday after drowning in a small Missouri pond.
According to reports Terrence Hicks,8 and his brother Cleveland Hicks,7 went bike riding Sunday afternoon when they fell into a frozen pond not far from their home.
When they boys did not return home family members went searching and discovered their helmets and bikes in the pond and then found one of the boys floating in the water.
Divers later found the other brother in the water and both boys were transported to a nearby hospital where they died hours later.
Fire Chief Craig Sullivan said in a statement that “It’s a very tragic accident and our first responders tried to save the boys but it was too late.”
