Two people are dead following a shooting at a Balch Springs apartment complex Friday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call at the Glenshire Villa apartments on the 3300 block of Glenshire Dr.
Upon arrival officers found Maribel Manriquez Gonzalez and James Scharoun suffering from a gunshot wound in the leasing office.
Both were transported to an area hospital where they were both pronounced dead.
According to witnesses Scharoun walked into the office and opened fire striking Gonzalez before turning the gun on himself.
Scharoun was a manager at the Glenshire Villas apartments.
Detectives are investigating what led up to the shooting.
