Texas DPS arrested two teens near a McAllen shopping mall in connection with human smuggling.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday when Border Patrol were involved in a high speed chase with a gray Ford truck.
Texas DPS also joined in with the chase that eventually ended with the vehicle crashing into a brick building.
It was stated that the driver, passenger and six migrants in the vehicle all fled the scene on foot.
Texas DPS arrested both the driver and passenger for human smuggling and evading arrest. Authorities found a weapon on the passenger and also charged him with unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon.
Of the six migrants three were apprehended at the scene.
