U.S. Marshals Find 39 Missing Children

The U.S. Marshals and Atlanta police worked together to locate and rescue 39 missing children during a two week operation in Georgia.
Authorities arrested nine people and some of the nine were arrested on multiple warrant charges.
Investigators said at a news conference Thursday that they cleared 26 arrest warrants and filed additional charges related to sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, registered sex offender violations, drugs and weapons possession, and custodial interference.
Trayon Moore was arrested in Dekalb County for sex trafficking and probation violation warrants, James Garcia was arrested at a motel in Clearwater, Florida for aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy and incest with a minor warrants out of Whitfield County, Georgia, Faye Smith was arrested at a motel in Clearwater, Florida on a warrant for probation violation, Sally Garcia was arrested at a motel in Clearwater, Florida on a warrant for interference with child custody, Zachary Bailey was arrested in Columbus, Georgia on warrants for human trafficking, enticing of a minor for indecent purposes, and enticement of a minor for solicitation, Stanson Causey was arrested in Jasper, Georgia. He’s a registered sex offender arrested for probation violation, Kirk Waters was arrested in Newton County, Georgia for being a felon in possession of a firearm, Trevonte Shareef was arrested in Newton County, Georgia for interference with custody and obstruction and Moradeyo Amos Bandele was arrested in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on a warrant for rape out of Conyers, Georgia.
The missing children ranged in age from 3 to 17 and identified 15 of the children as victims of sex trafficking.
The director of U.S. Marshals Service Donald Washington said, “I have children. I’m sure many of you do as well. These are not my kids and these are not your kids, but actually they are our kids when it’s all said and done.”
