Will unemployment benefits be extended based on the former fed chair thoughts?

3.6kviews

We all are aware that the expanded unemployment insurance is set to expire towards the end of the month, two former chairs ( Yellen and Bernanke) of the Federal Reserve urged lawmakers to consider renewing the emergency benefits put in place in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I think, frankly, it would be a catastrophe not to extend unemployment insurance,” Janet Yellen told members of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis during a remote hearing on Friday.
What do you think? Should the benefit be extended since we may be headed towards another shut down? Let’s hope for the best!!!
