A woman fatally shot her husband Monday as she was taking their three children to their first day of school.
Multiple officers responded to a shooting call on the 7800 block of Peacock Park Drive near Humble Tx.
Upon arrival officers found the woman’s husband suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The woman told officers that she and her husband had domestic problems in the past.
She said Monday he showed up to the home unexpectedly as she and the children ages 8,12 and 16 were leaving.
He confronted her in front of their children and began trying to assault her.
She then ran inside the home grabbed a handgun and shot him.
According to court records on June 10, their father “woke the three children” so they could see him confront their mother about their “marital problems.”
He then slapped their mother in the face twice before being arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
He was out on a $3000 bond.
