A Memphis woman was arrested after she allegedly shot her boyfriend in the groin with a stolen gun.
Memphis Police Department responded to a report of a man who’d been shot in the 1000 block of Kney Street Tuesday morning around 10:30 a.m.
When officers arrived they found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to his groin area. He was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Upon an investigation, authorities learned that the victim and his girlfriend, Alexius Payne, were involved in a heated argument when Payne retrieved a gun and shot him.
It was later learned that the gun Payne retrieved was stolen.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and theft of property.
