Woman Suing Strip Clubs For Being Denied Work Due To Her Skin Color

2.3kviews

A woman is suing four Houston strip clubs claiming she was refused work due to her skin color.
Chloe Nicholson claims club owners intentionally sent her and other black women home because there were too many already there.

Her lawsuit is against the Davari brothers, Ali and Hassan.
The owners own a string of clubs where Nicholson has worked and experienced this racial profiling.
Nicholson is a mother of two and says she experienced this treatment in the clubs between the ages of 18-24.
Her lawsuit is asking for damages including lost wages from the clubs, which are at the heart of the city’s entertainment district on Richmond and Westheimer, and in north Houston.

She claims she would arrive for her assigned shift fully made up, shaved, looking good and smelling good only to be told by the manager there were “too many Black girls” at the moment. Then to be sent home.
Nicholson said, “I don’t feel that anybody should be treated like that — I look pretty, I smell good, I make sure I do every time. I can’t scrub my skin off.”
She’s currently running a nonprofit organization that helps women get medically necessary cosmetic procedures.
