A woman watched her ex-boyfriend kill six relatives in his family, including two young boys at their residence. She then assisted him in stealing their property.

On Tuesday, she was given a 25-year prison sentence.

25-year-old Jafeth Ramos pleaded guilty to armed robbery after a deal was made with prosecutors in Chicago. She agreed to testify against her ex-boyfriend, Diego Uribe Cruz, reports note.

Last month, Uribe Cruz was given life in prison for six counts of first-degree murder in the February 2016 killings. The murders happened in the victims’ bungalow in the Gage Park community.

Ramos told jurors, during Uribe Cruz’s trial, that she took a plea deal, wishing that she would be reunited with her son, again, one day. He wasn’t even a toddler when the two had been apprehended in May 2016.

Uribe Cruz had been accused of shooting Maria Madison, his 32-year-old aunt, after attempting to rob her on Feb. 4, 2016. He then stabbed and killed her sons, aged 10 and 13. Following that, he stabbed or beat other family members to ensure no witnesses survived.

Ramos did not offer a statement at her sentencing hearing. As she was walked out of the courtroom, she waved to relatives in the gallery. Afterwards, she created a heart with her hands.

The family declined to make a statement after the trial.
