An Iranian man who went 65 years without bathing and using soap, died at the age of 94.

Amou Haji, who lived in a shack built by local villagers in the southern province of Fars, was given the title “World’s Dirtiest Man”.

Despite his neighbors’ attempts and offerings of clean water and soap, Haji went decades without taking a shower and believed that soap would make him ill.

He lived off of roadkill and loved eating raw meat. He was also known to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and loved to smoke multiple cigarettes at the same time.

Haji died shortly after he caved and allowed the villagers to give him a bath.
