Wylie Man Sentenced To Life In Prison Without The Possibility Of Parole For Continuous Sexual Assault Of A Child

A Collin County jury sentenced 49 year old Ricardo Bernal to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the continuous sexual abuse of a child.

According to reports, Bernal had long time access to the victim and apparently sexually abused the child for four years.

It was said that the victim eventually reached out to a family member and told them about the abuse. The relative contacted Wylie police and reported the crimes.

Authorities arrested and interviewed Bernal who then admitted to sexually abusing the victim for at least four years.

The victim was also interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County where they disclosed information pertaining to the sexual abuse they endured throughout the years.

Bernal has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
