Your Stimulus Checks Are Being Held By A Third Party Bank Not Your Tax Office

Did you receive a notification saying your stimulus check was deposited into your account and when you checked your account nothing was there?
Tax offices did not receive your stimulus check the IRS sent checks out on April 15 which is the same day that the portal to update your address and bank information opened up so the checks were deposited into a third party bank.
There are four main banks that the tax offices use as a third party and they are River City, Santa Barbara, Republic and Refund Advantage and they put their account number on the checks so that when they are deposited they automatically receive their tax fees.
The checks are now sitting at the tax bank waiting to be identified and the IRS has not given information on how to precede with the situation.
One thing that may happen is that the checks will be sent back to the IRS and reissued in a paper form but it is unclear at this time how IRS wants to handle things.
The portal was set up and opened so that it could allow everyone to update their information so the checks can be rerouted to the proper address or bank account so that this would not happen.
