Bounty Hunters Charged After Mistakenly Kidnapping Innocent Man in Richardson

Three bounty hunters are facing kidnapping charges after mistakenly detaining an innocent man during a search in Richardson.

The incident took place on June 1 at a residence in the 3800 block of Aberdeen Court in northeast Richardson. The hunters believed they had located Hussein Alsaaidi, a suspect wanted for capital murder. They claimed to have used an AI facial recognition system, which they said identified him with 79% certainty.

The hunters arrived in a U-Haul van, deployed a flashbang into the garage, and arrested 22-year-old Hussein Alsaadi, mistaking him for the suspect. It was later revealed that Alsaaidi had left for Iraq.

The three individuals, employed by the security firm Clandestin Group and contracted by Bring Em Home Bail Bond, were attempting to serve a warrant on Alsaaidi, who had posted a $500,000 bond after being charged in February 2024 with capital murder related to a suspected drug trafficking operation in northwest Dallas.

Alsaadi stated he was in the process of giving a haircut when he heard the loud explosion from the flashbang. He described hearing voices telling him to get down, with armed men with AR-style rifles pointing at his face.

After detaining him, the bounty hunters ultimately released him from the vehicle, and he waited for police to arrive. An officer confirmed that Alsaadi had no active warrants and did not resemble the suspect the team was seeking.

Both Hinton and Allard Carter have been charged with aggravated kidnapping and the execution of an arrest warrant.
